“It's much more the questions it raises as the answers it offers. It’s a connection between people, ideas, and moments. As we continue to push ourselves through of what’s possible at the intersection of art and technology, I remain committed to creating work that resonates on a human level.”
Visual Artist & Creative Director
Bruno Bez is a visual artist and creative director based in Berlin, whose work explores the intersection of technology, art, and human connection. With over 20 years of experience spanning digital art, immersive experiences, and creative direction, his practice investigates how new tecnologies and creativity can be combined to create new forms of expression and understanding.

Born in Florianópolis, Brazil, in 1984, Bez’s journey began capturing the energy of surf and skate culture with a camera in the early 2000s. This foundation in documenting authentic moments evolved into a sophisticated practice that now employs AI, extended reality, and experimental techniques to explore questions of identity, consciousness, and digital existence.

Artistic Practice
Bez’s work is characterized by its dynamic visual language that bridges technological innovation with emotional resonance. His projects often feature immersive digital sculptures that adapt with time and space, responding to viewer interactions and environmental stimuli. By utilizing advanced AI algorithms alongside traditional artistic techniques, he creates constantly shifting aesthetics that range from abstract forms to hyper-realistic representations.

Currently, Bez is expanding the Moodboard project, an AI-integrated artwork that explores societal biases through digital art. Based in Berlin, he divides his time between developing the AI-driven Moodboard series and creating the Hihi! XR Project, a VR retrospective of his career, while maintaining his commissioned works and exhibition schedule.

Professional Experience
As a creative director, Bez has led cross-functional teams in vvisual and digital arts projects for clients including tech companies, cultural institutions, marketing agencies, and music labels. His approach combines strategic thinking with artistic vision, creating visual solutions that are both technically innovative and conceptually rich.

From 2020 to 2024, he was a core team member at workstreams.ai as Creative Director and Video Producer, crafting a cohesive audiovisual identity for the AI-powered workflow platform. His responsibilities included managing the entire production process, implementing innovative solutions, and building a variety of video formats from scratch.

He occasionally conducts workshops and presentations on the technical and creative aspects of visual workflows and real-time interfaces, sharing his knowledge and practices with emerging artists and creative professionals.

Background Trajectory

Beginning his journey in audiovisual production as a teenager in the mid-2000s, Bez had the privilege of collaborating with talented professionals in Florianópolis's emerging surf scene. These early experiences shaped his understanding of how audiovisual creation can transform our perception of time, space, and movement. Since 2007, his work has evolved to embrace digital art and real-time visual performances, exploring the possibilities offered by new media while maintaining a focus on creating dynamic, kinetic atmospheres.

The Thirdpsilon exhibition at the Museum of Image and Sound of Santa Catarina (BR) marked an important milestone, bringing together digital art and electronic music in a collaborative space that celebrated community creativity.

Working between Brazil and Europe, Bez has had the opportunity to contribute to various artistic contexts, from cultural institutions to festivals and concerts. He participated in "The Wrong" digital art biennial at the São Paulo Cultural Center with the holographic installation "Tripod of Life", and was fortunate to be part of "Immesphere" - Brazil's first Full Dome International Festival in Brasília - where, alongside with Vjzaria, their collaborative work received the Best Film award by popular vote. His journey has included meaningful collaborations in contemporary dance, creating digital elements for "The Worst of Me" by Monica Siedler, and for the performance "Yellow Syntagma" by the renowned Cena 11 Cia. Through partnerships with music producer Andrevictor, he presented Gangorra, a glitch art project - which was selected for two editions of FILE (International Festival of Electronic Language) and became part of the Live Performers Meeting (Roma-IT) program. Another enriching collaboration led to the creation of the generative art project TwoManik' with digital artist Kaue Costa and his custom software Kaox.
Through live cinema performances and urban interventions—including a noteworthy tribute to HR Giger in Berlin—he has had thehonor to learn from and contribute to the international psychedelic art community. These opportunities have allowed him to grow through visual experiments alongside talented electronic music producers including Mano Le Tough, Matt John, Elekfantz, Gui Boratto, B.Ashra, Jay Haze, Filip Sala, Nyma, Ludovic Vendi, Jamaica Suk, L_cio, and Artemii, among others.

As a VJ, he has performed at renowned venues including Club der Visionaere, Hoppetosse, Panke, Ipse, Sisyphus, and Scope Sessions (Berlin), Keep on Going (London), and Broken Beat (USA). His festival appearances include Electrode (Rome), Visual Brazil (Barcelona), Fusion (Germany), Amsterdam Dance Event (Netherlands), Tribaltech, and Creamfields (Brazil). In his hometown of Florianópolis, his visuals regularly enhance performances at Acoustic Brognoli, Orchestra Camerata, Skrotes, while residencies at venues like Terraza, At Home, Sounds in the City, Trip to Deep, Troop, and Bosque 55.
